U.S. President Donald Trump and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán did not hold any conversation about Ukraine’s accession to the European Union (EU).
This was stated by Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó.
“Not only was this topic not raised, but in fact no conversation took place at all,” the foreign minister said.
On August 19, Bloomberg reported that Trump had called Orbán to clarify his position on Ukraine’s EU membership. The publication specified that European leaders had asked the White House chief to “influence” Viktor Orbán.
