In recent weeks, the Polish Border Guard has recorded an increase in the number of young Ukrainians aged 18 to 22 arriving, who were recently allowed to leave the country.
According to him, from August 28 (the day young men were allowed to leave) to September 3, 6,100 men aged 18 to 22 arrived in Poland’s Subcarpathian Voivodeship from Ukraine, while 2,000 departed.
A week earlier, about 500 young Ukrainians had entered Poland, and more than 650 had left, he added.
At the same time, in Lublin Voivodeship, according to border guards, from August 28 to September 3, 4,605 entered and 1,301 Ukrainian men aged 18 to 22 left. A week earlier, 461 arrived in Poland from Ukraine, and 575 left.
It should be recalled that at the end of August the Ukrainian government changed the rules for crossing the border under martial law, allowing young men aged 18 to 22 to travel to other countries.
Meanwhile, the State Border Guard Service reported that under the new rules, Ukrainian men under 22 will need a military registration document in paper or electronic form in order to leave the country.
