“Ukrainians live “enjoying themselves”: Head of Mykolaiv Regional Administration Kim spoke about life during the war
06.10.2025 - 16:01The coming winter will be the hardest for Kharkiv in the past three years. In recent days alone, two transformer substations in Ukraine’s first capital have been destroyed.
This was reported by Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov on Telegram.
“Looking at the pace of attacks, it is already clear that the coming winter will be the most difficult for Kharkiv in all the years of the war. At any moment, a new strike on critical infrastructure could occur, capable of destroying in seconds what we have built and restored over months,” Terekhov wrote.
According to him, energy workers are restoring damage at a rapid pace: if at night about 22,000 subscribers were left without electricity, now the number is about 3,500.
Terekhov believes that the shelling is unlikely to stop.
Meanwhile, Volodymyr Zelensky struggled to answer a question about the likelihood of a blackout in Ukraine in the event of continued Russian strikes.
Earlier, Zelensky warned that Russia plans to disable Ukraine’s energy system as early as this autumn.
