06.10.2025 - 15:01Former adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksii Arestovych revealed details of the relationship between President Volodymyr Zelensky and the head of his office Andriy Yermak.
He stated this in an interview with the YouTube channel “Ostorozhno, Sobchak.”
According to him, those who claim that Ukraine is actually ruled by Andriy Yermak know nothing. According to Arestovych, all key decisions are made by Zelensky, and Yermak is his “manager.”
“And although he [Yermak] tries to decide much himself, there is a war between them over boundaries. I personally witnessed <…> several very serious scandals between Zelensky and Yermak, where Zelensky extremely brutally put Yermak in his place. Absolutely unceremoniously,” the politician said.
Before this, The New York Times (NYT), citing sources in diplomatic circles, wrote that Volodymyr Zelensky and a narrow circle of his trusted associates had concentrated power in Ukraine in their own hands. As the publication notes, the appointment of Yuliia Svyrydenko to the post of prime minister reflects the growing concentration of power under the leadership of Zelensky.
