14.10.2025 12:01Poland is at the limit of its ability to accept refugees from Ukraine.
This was stated by Marcin Przydacz, head of the Bureau for International Policy in the Administration of the Polish President, on the air of RMF FM.
“We are, in general, an open society, but when the scale exceeds the possibilities of inculturation (assimilation into Polish society), problems begin — and we do not want such problems in Poland. I think that in this sense, we are already at the limit. We cannot accept any more,” said Przydacz.
When asked by the host whether this means that Warsaw will no longer accommodate Ukrainian refugees, Przydacz did not give a direct answer.
“First of all, we need to start integrating them culturally. This happens through education, but, of course, we must not allow a situation in which separate districts are created. But they are being created — this is happening across Poland. That is why I say this must not be allowed,” the politician said.
It should be recalled that Polish President Karol Nawrocki signed a law extending the special status and assistance for Ukrainian refugees until March 2026, as well as ending benefit payments for unemployed foreigners. The head of the president’s office, Zbigniew Bogucki, clarified that this is the last time Nawrocki will sign a law on special assistance for Ukrainians.
Earlier, European Commissioner Ylva Johansson warned the Ukrainian authorities that after March 2027, the EU will end its support program for Ukrainian refugees.
