“The EU is using discussions about Ukraine to hide its inability to solve its own problems,” said Fico
16.10.2025 06:01It is difficult for U.S. President Donald Trump to resolve the war in Ukraine due to his limited leverage over the Kremlin.
This was reported by CNN.
According to the outlet’s sources, Trump is considering supplying Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles to strike Russian infrastructure, but the actual impact on the Kremlin remains doubtful.
It is noted that the United States has already tried economic and diplomatic measures, but Russian President Vladimir Putin continues to show readiness to resist, and negotiations are currently on hold.
As a reminder, on October 17, Donald Trump plans to meet in the U.S. with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The day before, the U.S. president stated that Zelenskyy would ask for Tomahawk missile deliveries during the meeting in Washington, but did not say what his response would be.
For its part, Russia has warned of irreparable damage to Russian-American relations if Tomahawks are transferred to Ukraine.
