05.11.2025 - 17:01A bail of more than 20 million hryvnias (€413,800) was posted yesterday for former head of the Odesa Regional TRSSC (Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center) Yevhen Borysov in the case of unauthorized abandonment of his unit.
This was reported by the media, citing a source in the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI).
A bail of 20,136,200 hryvnias was posted by the company “Evagrain.” According to the YouControl portal, which compiles company dossiers, LLC “Evagrain” was registered as a legal entity on February 16, 2023; its main activity is the export of grain and oilseed crops from Ukrainian ports.
The case regarding Borysov’s forced abandonment of his duty station is being heard by the Prymorskyi District Court of Odesa.
Overall, in proceedings for three of the four criminal cases, more than 100 million in bail has already been posted for Borysov: 36,364,000 UAH (€752,400) and 44,420,760 UAH (€919,000). After the second payment, the SBI received information that the ex–military commissar planned to evade the investigation and leave the country, and detained him again.
Cases have been opened against Borysov under the article on abuse of power or official authority by a military official, in connection with information that he allegedly took money to order subordinates not to conscript certain people. He is also accused of document forgery. According to the investigation, he registered a non-combat injury for himself, thanks to which he received 250,000 hryvnias (€5,172) and five months of medical leave.
Media have also reported that Borysov is trying to obtain disability status from the pre-trial detention center.
