Kyiv’s readiness for negotiations with Moscow can only be assessed after statements by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that will shed light on his ideas.
This was stated by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.
“So far, we can’t see anything in this step, because we don’t know what it’s about. When we find out, we’ll be able to say whether we see something there or not,” the press secretary to the Russian president said.
The day before, Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he would travel to Turkey. There, he intends to step up negotiations on ending the conflict.
In addition, Verkhovna Rada MP Oleksiy Honcharenko suggested that during his visit to the Republic of Turkey, Zelensky might meet with his “wallet,” businessman Tymur Mindich, who fled Ukraine on the eve of searches by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).
