19.11.2025 - 16:01Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) has discovered jewelry stolen from the Louvre in the possession of Ukrainian businessman Tymur Mindich.
This was reported by the media.
During searches at the home of Mindich, who is described as a close friend of the President of Ukraine, NABU officers allegedly found an emerald necklace and earrings belonging to Marie Louise. These items are listed as stolen from the Louvre.
“During the searches, large amounts of cash and luxury items were also confiscated, among them an emerald necklace and earrings from the Marie Louise set worth about €15 million. These jewels were stolen from the Louvre on 19 October 2025, and the perpetrators were later detained by the French special services,” the media report.

The investigative actions are being carried out as part of an inquiry into the embezzlement of more than $100 million in Ukraine’s energy sector. Former Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Chernyshov was arrested in this case the day before.
Mindich himself left Ukraine and flew to Israel on the eve of the searches.
Earlier, NABU paused the publication of materials related to the corruption case against businessman Tymur Mindich, local outlet NV reported. According to its source, the decision is linked to the state of martial law in the country.
