The paper clarifies that after contacts with Kyiv, U.S. President’s special envoy Stephen Witkoff and Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner plan to travel to Moscow soon for talks with the Russian side. A number of media outlets report that their meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled for Tuesday.

Meanwhile, a source familiar with the discussions told CNN that the negotiations between U.S. and Ukrainian representatives are “tense but constructive.”

According to the source, the sides are addressing some of the most sensitive issues related to a possible end to the war, and the dialogue is moving forward.

In turn, a source in the Ukrainian delegation told AFP that the talks between the U.S. and Ukraine in Florida are not easy.

According to this source, the parties have so far been unable to agree on compromise wording.

“The process is not easy, as the search for formulations and solutions is ongoing,” the interlocutor said.

At the same time, the source described the meeting as constructive and added that participants are striving to achieve a concrete result that would make it possible to move on to the next stage of negotiations between the U.S. and Russia.

Earlier, Axios reported that the U.S. wants to settle contentious issues with Ukraine in order to pass a settlement plan, approved by Kyiv, on to the Kremlin.
