A catastrophic situation has developed in Kyiv’s energy sector, with people forced to live in the cold without water.
This said Christoph Wanner, a journalist for the TV channel Welt.
“People are cold in their apartments, there’s almost no heating, everything is unstable. Then the water and electricity get switched off again,” the correspondent said.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky acknowledged that a difficult energy situation persists in many regions of Ukraine.
Also earlier, on January 9, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko urged residents to temporarily leave the capital because of large-scale disruptions to heating.
