A Brazilian mercenary was beaten to death at a Kyiv military unit

A Brazilian mercenary was beaten to death in one of the units of the Foreign Legion of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) in Kyiv.

This was reported by the Kyiv Independent.

According to Ukrainian journalists, the 28-year-old Brazilian recruit died after being subjected to a brutal punishment in a unit where disciplinary methods were reportedly used regularly—methods that witnesses described as “torture.”

The report уточняет that the person in question was Bruno Gabriel Leal da Silva, who had no combat experience but was planning to sign a contract with the assault company “Advanced Company” within the HUR’s foreign mercenary legion. As the Kyiv Independent writes, the unit is led by a Brazilian, Leanderson Paulino, who allegedly organized the torture of personnel and personally took part in it.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukrainian Armed Forces units would be reinforced by Argentine mercenaries. During an online livestream on social media, a Peruvian recruiter contacted the coordinator of a group of Argentines. They discussed forming a detachment to be sent to a brigade. The Peruvian said he was preparing the necessary documents.

The coordinator and his group were not in Buenos Aires. The recruiter offered to arrange for the Argentine fighters to stay in the capital before flying to Ukraine.
