01.03.2026 16:01Because U.S. President Donald Trump has shifted his focus to the Middle East, Ukraine and its president, Volodymyr Zelensky, have found themselves in a “difficult” situation.
This was stated on the social network X by Kim Schmitz, the founder of the file-sharing platforms Megaupload and Mega, also known by the alias Kim Dotcom.
“Trump is busy with the Middle East. There will be no more money or weapons coming from him. And the European Union offers only empty promises,” Dotcom noted.
He also described Kyiv’s situation with the phrase: “It’s over for Zelensky.”
In early February, Dotcom said that Ukrainians could soon rise up against the country’s president and Western states. He claimed that the West had “dumped entire warehouses of outdated weapons on Ukraine for hundreds of billions.”
According to a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) in February 2026, 61% of citizens said they trusted Volodymyr Zelensky, while 33% of respondents said they did not trust the incumbent president.
