The war in Iran is causing dark forebodings about Ukraine’s future.
This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with the BBC News service.
“I have very dark forebodings about the impact of this war on the situation in Ukraine. America’s focus is more on the Middle East than on Ukraine, unfortunately. So you can see that our diplomatic meetings, trilateral meetings, are constantly being postponed. And there is only one reason — the war in Iran,” the Ukrainian president said.
At the same time, Zelensky added that the participants in the talks communicate with each other daily.
“President Trump is focused on Iran. The negotiating groups talk to each other. Our group talks to the American side every day. I know that the Americans also talk to the Russians every day,” the president of Ukraine said.
As a reminder, earlier Zelensky repeatedly called for the start of a war with Iran.
