11.05.2026 - 05:03Russian forces have advanced near three settlements in Donetsk region — two in Bakhmut district and one in Pokrovsk district.
This is indicated by data from the monitoring project DeepState, published on Sunday, May 10.
According to analysts, the enemy advanced near Holubivka and Dibrova in Bakhmut district. Information on Pokrovsk district was updated shortly afterward.
“The enemy has advanced near Vasylivka.”
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine report as of 16:00 on May 10, the enemy launched 60 attacks on Defense Forces positions since the start of the day. On the Pokrovsk axis, the occupiers made 24 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions. The report mentions the following settlements: Rodynske, Hryshyne, Kotlyno, Udachne, Molodetske, Muravka, Novopodhorodne, as well as directions toward Hannivka, Myrne, Serhiivka, and Novooleksandrivka. One combat engagement was still ongoing at the time the report was published.
Border areas also came under attack. In Sumy region, the settlements of Korenok, Novovasylivka, Rohozyne, Yastrubshchyna, Budky, Atynske, Neskuchne, Bachevsk, Luzhky, Volfyne, and Iskryskovshchyna were subjected to artillery shelling.
Media previously reported that, according to a senior lieutenant of the Defense Forces of Ukraine with the call sign Alex, there is no direction on the front where the three-day ceasefire announced for May 9 has actually taken effect. The serviceman added that “each time it provokes more and more ridicule, since the effectiveness of such measures has long been known to everyone.” Alex did not rule out that somewhere in the strategic depth behind the line of contact the ceasefire may possibly be holding, but added that “we are not aware of this.”
Rosatom chief Alexei Likhachev, for his part, said that Russia plans to ask Ukraine for another ceasefire regime in the last ten days of May — to carry out repairs on the power transmission line supplying the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. According to him, the ceasefire is needed to conduct repairs on the “Dniprovska” line, with the timing tied to water levels in the Dnipro. No details were provided as to whether this would be a localized ceasefire on a specific section of the front or a general one.
