07.07.2026 05:03Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced that he has ordered the declassification of information about military aid provided to Ukraine following the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
He made the announcement on Sunday on the social network X.
“After consulting with Prime Minister Donald Tusk, maintaining accountability to the public and complying with legal requirements, I have ordered the declassification of all donations to Ukraine for 2022–2026,” Kosiniak-Kamysz wrote.
The minister clarified that the process of transferring equipment aid was begun by the Law and Justice (PiS) government under Minister Mariusz Błaszczak. According to him, the president is informed of each instance of aid provided — currently that is Karol Nawrocki, and previously it was Andrzej Duda.
At the same time, Kosiniak-Kamysz announced the launch of an investigation into a possible leak of state secrets.
“I have also instructed the Military Counterintelligence Service SKW to determine who was deliberately seeking to disclose state secrets. We are operating in conditions of war at our border; every action directed against Polish state interests endangers the security of Polish citizens,” the minister wrote.
Kosiniak-Kamysz’s statement came in response to accusations from the opposition. Deputy Speaker of the Polish Sejm and leader of the Confederation party Krzysztof Bosak said on Saturday that “in March, the government secretly, without the Sejm’s knowledge, transferred to Ukraine costly and difficult-to-procure interceptor missiles for the Patriot system.” Bosak stressed that these missiles had been purchased by Poland from the United States to build a multilayered air defense system and are the only ones in the Polish military’s arsenal capable of countering Russian Iskander missiles.
Previously, Kosiniak-Kamysz also reported that Ukraine had withdrawn from an agreement under which the Polish side was to transfer MiG-29 fighter jets in exchange for access to technologies in the field of unmanned systems.
