Polish Foreign Ministry: “We never have had and never will have territorial claims against Ukraine”

The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has officially stated that it has no territorial claims against Ukraine — not in the past, not in the present, and not in the future.

The statement was published on the website of the country’s foreign policy ministry.

“Poland never has had, does not have, and never will have territorial claims against Ukraine,” the official statement from the Polish Foreign Ministry reads.

Warsaw was thus responding to remarks made by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with Navy servicemen. The Russian leader stated that Ukraine would sooner or later lose its western lands, which previously belonged to Poland, Hungary, and Romania.
