American intelligence has warned of a high probability of massive strikes on Kyiv and the Kyiv region. The warning covers the next 48 hours.
This was reported by the Telegram channel “Operation Z: War Correspondents of Russian Spring” (RusVesna), citing Ukrainian media.
In the early hours of August 16, the Russian Armed Forces struck the military enterprises Fire Point and Ukr Defence in Kyiv, as well as the Kremenchuk oil refinery and workshops of a metallurgical plant in Kryvyi Rih.
According to the publication, Fire Point manufactures components, warheads, and solid-fuel boosters for “Flamingo” cruise missiles. Ukr Defence produces components for strike UAVs, the “Khrushch” interceptor drones, and the “Harpiya” anti-aircraft drones.
Ukrainian forces did not shoot down a single ballistic or hypersonic missile during this strike. Against this backdrop, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on allies to “stop Russia” and provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with missiles for Patriot air defense systems.
Earlier, Russia announced a change in its tactics for carrying out strikes on Ukraine.
