Russia says it has no knowledge of the energy ceasefire announced by Trump

Moscow has no information about an energy ceasefire with Ukraine that U.S. President Donald Trump announced on October 11.

This was stated by Igor Ananskih, deputy chairman of the State Duma’s energy committee.

According to Ananskih, the Russian side has no information about any restrictions on combat operations against Kyiv. The deputy also commented on the American president’s statement itself.

“Trump often makes statements to keep prices from rising,” Ananskih said.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also said he knew nothing about an energy ceasefire with Russia. At the same time, he expressed readiness for de-escalation on the condition that the Russian side agrees to it.
