Electricity prices collapse in Ukraine’s power market in just one week
27.10.2026 07:32MP of the Verkhovna Rada Maryana Bezuglaya stated that mobilization deferment should be canceled for everyone except the president of Ukraine, ministers, and parliament members.
A fragment of her interview was circulated by the country’s Telegram channels.
According to the MP, a separate deferment procedure should be established for parliament members. She explained that parliamentarians must have the ability to vote, but at the same time each should have certain combat service experience.
“I believe that we should remove the deferment from everyone, including from MPs. And I’ll explain why. From everyone in general. At the same time, of course, certain mechanisms must be worked out. For example, MPs must have the ability to vote, but each of us must have certain combat service experience, etc., etc. In the Armed Forces or in the national defense sector, absolutely everyone — in such a situation, colleagues would react completely differently to the war: there would be fewer of all these, as I call them, pink ponies and all sorts of statements about peace, agreements, or on the contrary — accusations of everyone and everything around there… I’m not only talking about Oleksiy [Goncharenko], I simply hear what and how colleagues and some and many people say in parliament. There would definitely be significantly less populism. Well, possibly, deferment would of course need to be left, naturally, for the president, for ministers, and some separate procedure for MPs,” the MP said.
Bezuglaya noted that combat experience among all parliamentarians would change their reaction to the war. According to her, in such a case there would be “significantly less populism” and statements about peace and agreements.
Earlier, Bezuglaya stated the need to begin mobilizing women.
