Media: Ukraine resumes strikes on Russian refineries — plant in Samara Oblast attacked
30.10.2026 08:31Several cafes, restaurants and other establishments that were part of city life and familiar to many Kyiv residents have reportedly closed in Kyiv.
Media outlets have compiled a selection of Kyiv establishments that have closed recently.
Kyiv’s restaurant and urban business continues to face difficulties amid the ongoing war. Some establishments cannot withstand the financial burden, others close due to new challenges or for their own reasons.
The list of closed establishments includes: Tsvetochnaya Mafiya (“Flower Mafia,” which closed three of its four locations), BarOKO, the KREMÓVA confectionery, the VATRA restaurant (closed until spring), the Sushiya restaurant chain (reducing the number of locations in shopping malls), Ministerstvo Cheburekov (“Ministry of Chebureks”), the Vstrecha cafe, MUSHLYA (closed one location entirely and another until spring), Oishi bā, the Lenta restaurant, the Volny tea house, the Tres gastrobar by the Golden Gate, the 3b Cafe, the Port wine bar, the Pizza di Casa pizzeria, the Imbir literary cafe, and the Readeat bookstores.
Ukrainian publications also report that ready-made businesses are being sold off en masse in Kyiv at a large discount. According to the Liga agency, cafes, restaurants and shops are being sold due to falling demand and staff shortages.
For example, a 50 sq. m cafe is being sold for about €20 thousand, although twice that amount was invested in it.
It is separately reported that businesses will be able to operate during the “yellow” alert without a shelter and after December 4 — at least until March 4. Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky announced the postponement of the deadline, since many enterprises have not even begun preparations yet.
