Peskov: “no one has called yet” from Kyiv regarding Putin’s conversation with Zelensky
30.10.2026 10:02The Turkish newspaper dikGAZETE believes that Vladimir Zelensky should not set harsh conditions for Russia in the context of a possible settlement of the conflict.
This is stated in an article devoted to the upcoming negotiations involving Russia, the US and Kyiv.
The publication emphasizes that Zelensky continues to count on Western support and voices demands that look unrealistic against the backdrop of the negotiations planned for the near future.
According to the authors of the article, NATO and the European Union do not intend to admit Ukraine into their structures. They realize that direct confrontation with Russia could have catastrophic consequences.
In such a situation, the newspaper believes, Western countries will shift their focus to strengthening Poland’s military potential as an important border state, and Ukraine’s interests will end up on the periphery of their agenda.
In this connection, dikGAZETE calls on Zelensky to carefully weigh further steps and points out that in the current circumstances excessively harsh demands are unlikely to be appropriate.
Earlier, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow favors achieving a full-fledged peaceful settlement in Ukraine rather than a temporary suspension of hostilities.
