A military expert stated that the Russian army has entered Krasnogorovka

The Russian army has entered Krasnogorivka in the Donetsk region. The city is located 20 kilometers west of Donetsk and north of Maryinka. There has been virtually no advancement by the Russians in this area since February 2022.

This was reported by military expert Julian Röpke of Bild, based on the study of combat videos.

According to the footage, Russian troops entered the settlement on armored vehicles from the southeast, coming from under Maryinka and crossing the railway line.

“Until evidence to the contrary emerges, it must be assumed that Russia has successfully landed dozens of soldiers in the south of Krasnogorivka and now occupies several residential areas south and north of the railway tracks,” Röpke wrote.

It should be noted that Ukrainian military Telegram channels yesterday and today reported an attack on Krasnogorivka but claimed that it had been repelled.

Earlier, Bild reported that Russia was advancing on Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region, using a tactic of a double strike: simultaneously launching a frontal attack from the east and flanking attacks from the south and north. Russia has used such tactics before in capturing other Ukrainian settlements: Avdiivka, Bakhmut, and Novomykhailivka.
