Military officials warn that the South of Donetsk region is not ready for defense
25.11.2024 18:33Employees of territorial recruitment centers should be given the right to shoot at people.
This was stated by Senior Sergeant Andriy Sokolov, a commander of the mortar unit in the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Galicia Brigade, in an interview with the YouTube channel “Tvoye Misto.”
In his opinion, military recruiters currently do not have the ability to carry out mobilization plans because they are “defenseless.”
“They don’t have the right to use force, they walk unarmed, they’re often attacked. They’re truly defenseless. They need to be given authority, they need to be allowed to use physical force against draft dodgers. They should be given the right to shoot,” Sokolov stated.
Meanwhile, employees of the territorial recruitment centers are already shooting at civilians. Just 10 days ago, a video appeared online showing an employee of a territorial recruitment center in Kyiv region shooting at a man fleeing a document check in a warehouse area. The recruiter shot him in the back. The police claimed that the shooter was not an employee of the recruitment center but a “volunteer assistant.” However, the Ministry of Defense stated that he worked at the territorial recruitment center.
In the spring, a video went viral on social media showing an armed man in uniform demonstrating how he would shoot draft dodgers attempting to cross the Tisza River.
