A peace agreement on Ukraine could be reached by Easter. In 2025, Roman Catholics, Greek Catholics, and Orthodox Christians will celebrate Easter on the same day, April 20.

This view was expressed by Robert Clarke, a research fellow at the American think tank Yorktown Institute, in an interview with British channel Sky News.

“It will be incredibly difficult for Ukraine. I believe the American side will aim to conclude some sort of deal, certainly by Easter. It all comes down to how much President Putin is willing to compromise, particularly in areas like Kursk, and, unfortunately, how much President Zelensky is willing to concede,” Clarke said.

Amid intensified discussions about U.S.-led peace efforts under Donald Trump, his representative on Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, has postponed his trip to Kyiv, which was initially scheduled for early January.
