Staff Shortage: Ukrainian military criticized the practice of creating new units in the Armed Forces of Ukraine
November 3, 2024In Ukraine, there is a noticeable trend toward a slowdown in mobilization rates.
This was stated by Roman Kostenko, the Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense of Ukraine.
“In September, we saw a drop in mobilization. Overall, there is a trend toward decreased mobilization, and we absolutely cannot allow this,” said the MP.
According to him, this will be a major issue, and “catching up on lost ground” will not be possible.
“Remember, Zaluzhny said that we need 500,000? I am coming to the conclusion that this number remains relevant,” Kostenko added.
Recently, the Verkhovna Rada announced that Ukraine plans to call up an additional 160,000 people over the next three months.
Yesterday, Maria Berlynska, head of the Victory Drones volunteer project, stated that Ukraine needs to mobilize women; otherwise, “we will have to surrender.”
