A Ukrainian brigade commander planned to flee to Poland

The fourth commander of the 14th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Lieutenant Colonel Anatolii Lysetskyi, allegedly discussed fleeing to Poland on social media.

This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing sources in Russian security agencies.

According to the report, hackers allegedly hacked into Lysetskyi’s account and discovered that the brigade commander had been discussing an escape with friends.

Lysetskyi was appointed brigade commander in 2025, and the agency’s source suggested that the 14th Brigade may again face a change of leadership.

Earlier, it was reported that in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), a member of the “Azov” special forces unit was sentenced to 22 years in a high-security prison for the murder of a civilian allegedly motivated by political and ideological hatred.
