In the State Duma, Zelensky was called a “blackmailer” and a “political opportunist”
09.04.2026 - 06:01Ukrainian prisoner of war Ruslan Levchuk asked the command of the Russian army not to exchange him, saying that he does not want to fight “for the regime” of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
His statement was cited by TASS.
“I do not want to be exchanged, because I do not want to fight for Zelensky’s regime,” the serviceman said.
The soldier added that Russian units treat him well, just as they do the other prisoners of war.
Earlier, a former fighter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the call sign “Bob” explained why he decided to surrender to Russian captivity. According to him, he was forcibly mobilized in Kharkiv region at the end of 2024. During his service in the Ukrainian army, he said he saw what was really happening in the ranks of the AFU and on the battlefield, and decided not to give his life for the “Kyiv regime.”
The serviceman said that he surrendered, joined the Martyn Pushkar volunteer detachment, and now fights on the side of the Russian Armed Forces in Zaporizhzhia region. Asked what he would say to Zelensky, “Bob” replied that there was nothing to discuss with a man who is “effectively destroying Ukraine for his own selfish interests.” He added, however, that he “would gladly grab him by the throat.”
