A Ukrainian soldier reported that Russian troops have reached the outskirts of Vuhledar

The Russian army has reached the outskirts of Vuhledar in the Donetsk region.

This was reported by a Ukrainian soldier on the Telegram channel “Govoryat Sniper” (“The Sniper Speaks”).

According to him, the situation around Kurakhove and Vuhledar is not in favor of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU), as Russian troops “are taking advantage of our exhaustion and are achieving successes.”

The Ukrainian soldier writes that “it’s difficult to speak about the high professionalism of the (Russian) infantry at the moment,” but sometimes Russian army units “are indeed better prepared than ours.”

It should be recalled that earlier a map of Russian advances near Vuhledar was published, indicating a potential encirclement of the city.

The map shows a breakthrough to the west of Vuhledar, and fighting was already taking place less than a kilometer from the road to Bohoyavlenka, which supplies Vuhledar. If this road is cut off, only dirt roads will remain for logistics.

Meanwhile, the *Financial Times* wrote that the offensive on Kursk did not help Ukraine maintain the situation on the Eastern front, “where Russia is crushing” Ukrainian troops. Vuhledar may fall “in the coming weeks,” and Pokrovsk closer to winter.

Ukrainian MP Maryana Bezuhla, after her trip to the Donbas, described the loss of Vuhledar as “a matter of time.”
