Minsk: Zelensky “is trying to drag Belarus and all of Europe into an armed conflict”

The leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Belarus, Oleg Gaidukevich, responded to a statement by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky threatening the use of military force, accusing him of attempting to drag Belarus and Europe into the war.

This was reported by local and Russian media.

According to Gaidukevich, Zelensky through his actions “is trying to drag Belarus and all of Europe into an armed conflict.” The Belarusian parliamentarian also assessed the very manner in which the Ukrainian president addressed Minsk.

“Talking to Minsk in ultimatums is foolish and will never lead to anything,” Gaidukevich stressed.

In his statement, to which Gaidukevich responded, Zelensky claimed that Minsk had deployed equipment near the border with Ukraine that provides Russian forces with targeting assistance during attacks on territories under Kyiv’s control.
