25.09.2024 - 05:03Russian forces have completely captured the settlement of Pishchane in the Kupiansk direction and are advancing towards the Oskil River.
This was stated by the commander of the 1st Assault Battalion of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, Volodymyr Fokin.
According to Fokin, the situation in this direction is difficult and, in some areas, uncontrollable. Currently, the Russian army is just two kilometers away from the Oskil River.
“The situation in the area of responsibility of the 3rd Assault Brigade remains very challenging. The enemy has slightly changed its tactics, switching back to active offensive assault operations, now using equipment. This includes tanks, armored personnel carriers (APCs), infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs), MT-LBs, automotive equipment, wheeled vehicles, and of course, motorcycles and mopeds. And simply assault groups, as we say, ‘on foot’ are attacking,” Fokin explained.
Earlier, the military Telegram channel Deep State reported that the situation for Ukrainian troops south of Kupiansk had worsened. Russian forces have advanced again towards the village of Kruhliakivka, where there is a fork of both roads on both banks of the Oskil River.
It was also reported that the Russian army is attempting to encircle the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the direction of Oskil.
