The Ternopil City Hall has responded to the video from the local Territorial Recruitment Center, where mobilized individuals were being beaten. Mayor Sergey Nadal addressed the leadership of the recruitment center.
“There is information that your ‘special’ employees may have used force against our mobilized citizens. I insist and emphasize the need for ‘special’ personnel at the territorial recruitment center to treat Ternopil residents who are mobilized with respect”, – he said.
“If you are aware of any cases of improper or cruel treatment during mobilization activities, urgently report them to the military prosecutor’s office and the police”, – he further added.
An investigation into the assault of the men at the Ternopil military office has already begun. This was reported by the Human Rights Commissioner in Ukraine, Dmitry Lubinets, who learned about the beatings from the media and social networks.
He wrote, “This should not happen.”
