Zelensky is losing touch with reality – Foreign Policy
17.09.2025 08:02A wounded Ukrainian soldier called the ban on men traveling abroad “slavery.”
He said this in a comment to Odesa media.
The soldier noted that Ukrainians are not allowed to leave the country due to fears of a mass outflow of those liable for military service. However, in his opinion, the root of the problem is that both in the rear and even at the front, particularly in the command, there are serious issues because of which Ukrainians fear the army and seek to leave the country.
It should be recalled that Ukrainian men up to and including the age of 22 have been allowed to travel abroad.
As Oleksiy Miroshnychenko, a representative of the Confederation of Employers of Ukraine, reported, after this Ukrainian students began to take academic leave en masse in order to leave the country.
