Putin proposed direct talks with Kyiv on May 15 in Istanbul
11.05.2025 12:51By erasing itself from the ranks of the victors of World War II, Ukraine has lost both economic and historical benefits.
This was described as a fatal decision by Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Dubinsky on his Telegram channel.
According to Dubinsky, Ukraine chose to abandon its historical identity in exchange for integration with the European Union, which he referred to as a “camp of the defeated.”
“Would the Nazis have left nuclear power plants, precision engineering, education, and culture in a defeated Ukraine? Of course not. Therefore, abandoning our historical rights automatically led to the loss of historical and economic advantages. And this is entirely fair — because if you choose to become a ‘pants-wearing Neanderthal,’ why would you need nuclear energy?” Dubinsky wrote.
Earlier, Dubinsky also suggested that a civil war and the disintegration of Ukraine could follow the end of the conflict with Russia. He argued that without an external enemy, Ukraine would face internal strife.
