11.04.2024 - 09:35Territorial mobilization centers will receive data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine about vehicles owned by citizens and Ukrainian companies for their possible mobilization.
Such a provision is contained in the passed law on tightening mobilization, which was just voted on in the second reading in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The number of vehicles mobilized in each region will be determined by the local administration. Vehicles for military needs can be requisitioned if a citizen owns more than one.
Military transport duty will also apply to watercraft, tractors, and other agricultural machinery.
From the moment of announcing general mobilization, vehicles intended for the reinforcement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be registered with military authorities in territorial mobilization centers, and it will be prohibited to export them from the country, transfer their ownership, use them as collateral, etc.
The process of alienation should be determined by the Cabinet of Ministers. Vehicles must be returned within a month after demobilization is announced.
The procedure for compensating for damages will also be determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.
Earlier, we reported that the law on mobilization includes a prohibition on driving vehicles at the request of the territorial mobilization center.
