December 22, 2023NACP is adopting artificial intelligence to check officials’ declarations, revealed by Artem Sytnyk, the agency’s Deputy Head. Historically, over 99% of declarations weren’t systematically reviewed due to manual checks focusing on high-ranking figures including the president.
The recent legal changes exempt NACP from annually scrutinizing all top officials’ declarations. AI will now scrutinize declarations with the lowest risk, while others undergo manual examination. This process involves cross-referencing declaration data with various registries and using specific algorithms to spot signs of illegal gains or unjustified assets.
NACP anticipates subjecting one-third of declarations to this verification process, indicating a minimal risk level but not a comprehensive inspection. If requested, these declarations might later undergo manual scrutiny.
