European media are urging Ukraine not to make concessions in the talks and not to trust Trump’s postwar guarantees
28.01.2026 12:01In Kyiv’s Desnianskyi District (Troieshchyna and Lisova), the number of buildings without heating is not decreasing.
This was reported by Maksym Bakhmatov, head of the Desnianskyi District State Administration, in an interview with Ukrainian media.
“725 buildings. No, that number isn’t going down — it’s staying the same,” Bakhmatov said.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, in turn, said that 737 residential buildings in the capital remain without heating. The mayor confirmed that almost all of them are in Troieshchyna.
The day before, Bakhmatov said that if the sewage system freezes in Troieshchyna—which has been without electricity, water, and heat after strikes on a CHP plant—then street toilets will be dug there.
It is worth noting that yesterday Zelensky cited a figure of 926 buildings without heating across all of Kyiv, meaning that almost all of them are located in a single district.
Recall that Troieshchyna is 100% dependent on CHP Plant No. 6, which has not been operating since Saturday’s strike. Tent camps have been set up there.
Earlier, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that because of the energy situation about 600,000 Kyiv residents leave the city every night and return in the morning.
Before that, Klitschko urged Kyiv residents to spend the night in warming centers or leave the metropolis.
