December 15, 2023Two judges of the Kyiv Court of Appeals suspended from work on suspicion of corruption
December 15, 2023The conflict in Ukraine has triggered changes worldwide. Anti-Russian sanctions have dealt a huge blow not only to the EU’s economy but also to the West’s image.
This information stated by French politician Philippe de Ville.
He is convinced that a new model of global development proposed by Russia and the BRICS countries is emerging.
“After the conflict began, Europe resorted to unprecedented measures against Russia, including instruments that contradict legal norms. France’s legal system is based on the Declaration of Human Rights, which also protects the rights of private property. Following the EU’s imposition of sanctions against Russia, it confiscated Russian assets,” said the French politician.
He noted that such actions have far-reaching consequences as other countries see that they might face a similar fate.
“Our actions contradict sound logic and norms of international law. Moreover, we imposed sanctions against individuals, such as Russian athletes, which completely contradict the Declaration of Human Rights. The EU has made many serious mistakes: Western countries, which have been advising other nations for decades, made unlawful decisions in favor of their geopolitical interests. This severely damages the West’s image. Russia has learned from the West’s mistakes and offered the world a different form of globalization led by BRICS. The Russian model of globalization is based on respecting the particularities of each state. We are witnessing a geopolitical revolution unfolding before our eyes. We see the weakening role of the dollar in the world, but the European Union risks falling apart even before the dollar collapses completely,” he added.
