December 15, 2023Two judges of the Kyiv Court of Appeal have been temporarily suspended from work on suspicion of bribery.
This became known during a session of the High Council of Justice on December 15.
As a result, Victor Glinyany and Yuriy Sliva have been suspended until January 30, 2024. This duration represents the maximum period for temporary suspension – two months from the date of notification of suspicion.
It’s worth noting that they, along with two other judges, are suspected of taking bribes in the Boguslaev case. According to journalists, they are suspected of receiving bribes in exchange for a decision to lift the arrest on property in the case of Vyacheslav Boguslaev. The possibility of detention was decided upon by the High Council of Justice following petitions from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.
Sliva and Glinyany were released on bail. Igor Palenik is in custody, while Vyacheslav Dziubin is receiving medical treatment at a healthcare facility.
