In the Verkhovna Rada, they believe that Ukrainians need to reduce social benefits
17.02.2024 08:34The situation in Avdiivka could herald new setbacks for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
This was stated by a high-ranking Pentagon representative to journalists.
“We see that Ukrainians are running critically low on supplies, especially ammunition. We see this as a harbinger of what will happen if we do not receive additional funding. There will be many other points on the front line where troops will run out of supplies,” the official said.
According to her, the United States and its allies understand that without $60 billion, the allocation of which Congress cannot agree upon, Ukrainian soldiers have no chance against the Russian army. The Pentagon representative added that the stakes are incredibly high right now.
Avdiivka is a northern suburb of Donetsk turned into a powerful fortified area by the Ukrainian army. Currently, battles are taking place for the city.
Yesterday, The Washington Post reported that Ukrainian troops have already begun a partial withdrawal from Avdiivka. They believe that the surrender of the settlement is only a matter of time.
