24.07.2024 - 15:51Ukrainians are protesting against prolonged power outages. Recently, residents of Poltava blocked a street in protest against the extended power cuts that left them without electricity for several days, leading to the spoilage of food.
In Poltava, people held a demonstration against the power outages, as reported by local public channels.
According to the information, city residents blocked a section of Mazepa Street, protesting against the lack of electricity in their homes for several days.

The protesters claimed they had been without power for two days, causing all their food to spoil. They were trying to draw attention to the issue, as the regional power company, Poltavaoblenergo, had been ignoring their complaints and providing no explanations for the situation.
Police were deployed to the protest site and threatened the demonstrators with mobilization notices to prevent the protest. However, this measure had no effect.
Poltava City Council Secretary Kateryna Yamshchikova arrived at the protest site and attempted to shift the responsibility for the situation to Poltavaoblenergo.
The protesters refused to disperse, only leaving after power was restored to their homes after midnight.
