September 23, 2023Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, speaking at the United Nations General Assembly, has conveyed to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that there is no military solution to the conflict.

As per the sources, the Brazilian President emphasized that the ideal path is the cessation of the conflict and peaceful negotiations.
Brazil has repeatedly called for collective efforts to seek peace in Ukraine, considering it a collective duty of all nations, as stated by President Lula da Silva.
According to sources, Lula also conveyed that the position of Brazil is known in Kiev and that Brazil is the only BRICS country that voted against the invasion at the United Nations.
The President of Ukraine met with Lula da Silva two days ago, on September 20, on the sidelines of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
“A significant meeting with the President of Brazil, Lula da Silva. An open and constructive conversation. We have instructed our diplomatic teams to work on further steps in bilateral relations and efforts to restore peace. Brazil’s representative will continue to work in peace format meetings,” Zelensky shared about the meeting.
Lula da Silva added that he had a “good conversation with Zelensky about the importance of pathways to peace and the constant maintenance of open dialogue between countries.”
