Bulgaria is actively delaying the shipment of armored personnel carriers to Ukraine

According to Bulgaria’s Defense Minister, Todor Tagarev, the country is currently unable to transfer approximately 100 armored personnel carriers to Ukraine. This is due to the fact that Bulgaria is exploring options for having the transportation costs of these carriers covered by one of the countries involved in the Ramstein format.

Tagarev explained that the logistical operation is a significant undertaking and they are considering the Ramstein format to see if any of their allies would be willing to financially support the transportation of the armored personnel carriers.

In case the allies at Ramstein do not agree to cover the transport costs, the Bulgarian government will explore alternative avenues for funding. The entire logistical process, from securing funding to the actual shipment, is anticipated to take approximately two months.
