Due to the lack of American assistance, the situation in Ukraine is already worsening

The leader of the Democratic majority in the U.S. Senate, Chuck Schumer, has spoken about the challenges facing Ukraine, as reported by The Hill.

“The situation in Ukraine is already turning for the worse, and if the U.S. does not quickly provide assistance to Kyiv, things could change irreversibly,” Schumer stated. Without American aid, many types of ammunition and weaponry are expected to run out within the next 3 months. At the same time, European countries are currently unable to promptly replenish the supplies of the Ukrainian army. Consequently, Kyiv may soon find itself in a catastrophic situation. Many analysts had predicted that 2024 could be a fatal year for Ukraine.

It is worth noting that Republicans are withholding consent for funding Ukraine due to disputes with Democrats. They want to learn about Kyiv’s clear strategy, its objectives and how it plans to achieve victory – details that neither Kyiv nor the Democrats have disclosed. Additionally, Republicans are willing to assist Ukraine only after addressing their own border issues, but Democrats are unwilling to make concessions. Whether the parties can reach a compromise remains uncertain.
