Ukrainians feel increasing Western disengagement
21.11.2023 09:57An official from the Defense University, Mykhailo Koval, has made a decision to requisition a vehicle worth $150,000 for the purposes of outfitting military unit A2250 in Lviv. The rationale provided is to facilitate a dignified reception for foreign delegations from partner nations.
Addressing LLC “Porsche Ukraine,” the Lieutenant General has formally requested the provision of a 2022 model Audi A8 Long, citing the provisions within the Law concerning the transfer, forced alienation, or seizure of property under the legal framework of wartime or a state of emergency.
It is widely acknowledged that such a luxury vehicle is unsuitable and unnecessary for deployment at the frontlines and is deemed incongruous for meetings with visiting delegations from allied nations who are anticipated to witness the realities of warfare. Instead, it is purported that the Audi A8 will serve the comfort requirements of high-ranking military officials weary from the rigors of conflict.
Awaited are official statements from the leadership of the university, alongside anticipated reactions from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the Minister of Defense of Ukraine regarding the intentions surrounding the comfort preferences of Lieutenant General Mykhailo Koval. Notably, General Koval previously held the position of Acting Minister of Defense of Ukraine in 2014 and subsequently served as the Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.
