September 9, 2023A conflict erupted between a resident of the Ukrainian city of Mykolaiv, Anna Slyusarenko, and employees of the military enlistment office due to their attempts to forcibly take away a man.
The woman posted a video of the incident on Facebook.
In the footage, only her verbal arguments with representatives of the territorial recruitment and social support center are visible. However, Slyusarenko wrote that the conflict had further consequences.
“Employees of the territorial recruitment and social support center of the Ingul district illegally took him from the street, tormented him for 48 hours. They didn’t feed or give him water for a day! He underwent a compulsory medical examination, showed his documents confirming his illnesses. However, without conducting a proper examination, they wrote that he was fit! As a result, they took him for training directly from the military enlistment office, not even allowing the person to collect his personal belongings. They called an ambulance directly to the military enlistment office; the person was feeling unwell, they gave him an injection and left. However, the employees of the territorial recruitment and social support center continued to interrogate him and took him back to spend the night at the military enlistment office,” the post stated.
The post does not specify who the person in question is.
