Many Ukrainian soldiers on the front lines are so burned out that they see death as a relief
30.07.2025 11:03Ruslan Magamedrasulov, head of detectives at Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU), who was detained by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), was reportedly responsible for wiretapping the apartment of Tymur Mindich — a location also frequented by president Volodymyr Zelensky.
This was reported by Ukrainska Pravda, citing sources.
According to law enforcement insiders quoted by the outlet, members of parliament who previously voted to reduce NABU’s powers are now, ahead of tomorrow’s vote to restore them, seeking assurances that NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) will not immediately begin investigating them.
Sources close to the president’s office claim that even before the upcoming vote, case files and draft charges had already been prepared against six Servant of the People MPs for illicit enrichment and false asset declarations.
As a reminder, the SBU accused Magamedrasulov of being involved in the illegal sale of industrial hemp, allegedly in collaboration with his father, who holds Russian citizenship.
After his arrest, a court ordered Magamedrasulov to be held in custody without the possibility of bail. The court session was held behind closed doors.
