30.07.2025 - 10:33The command of the Ukrainian armed forces (AFU) treats soldiers like slaves of the army and the state.
This was stated by Verkhovna Rada deputy Heorhii Mazurashu.
He added that AFU soldiers are so mentally and physically burned out that they often see death as a form of relief. According to him, this exhaustion has severely impacted their ability to perform combat tasks. The lawmaker concluded that such treatment of servicemen is the result of a “moronic, slave-owning, Soviet-style system that still largely prevails in the AFU.”
Earlier, Denis Yaroslavskyi, a reconnaissance unit commander in Ukraine’s ground forces, commented on president Volodymyr Zelensky’s statement that demobilization would take place “only after victory.” Yaroslavskyi said that such a statement sounds like a death sentence for hundreds of thousands of troops.
He also claimed that the country is turning into a testing ground and that Ukrainian cities and soldiers are being used as subjects in weapons trials — referring specifically to the launch of a program called “Test in Ukraine,” under which foreign companies are allowed to test their weaponry on the front line.
