September 5, 2023A social media scandal has erupted surrounding the statements made by Ukrainian blogger Tatiana Koryak, known as “Koryachka.”
She claimed that the Ukrainian army is recruiting people without experience, referred to them as “cannon fodder,” and called for peaceful negotiations.
The post appeared on her Instagram account:
“The number of soldiers won’t solve anything! Who are they recruiting now? Men without experience? Cannon fodder? What for? They are being bombarded with artillery, tanks, and planes! The soldiers have no chance! It’s simply the genocide of the people,” she wrote.
“I feel sorry for our people, who are disappearing. Can’t everything be resolved through negotiations?” she added.
She also wrote that if she were a man, she wouldn’t pick up a weapon to kill people. In her opinion, wars are dirty games played by politicians, in which ordinary people are mere pawns.
Following these statements, she closed her Instagram account, which had more than a million followers.
