Wives and mothers of fallen Ukrainian soldiers are dissatisfied that the leadership of the Mykolaiv region is not rushing to build memorials in honor of their loved ones
August 15, 2024In the Ukrainian-controlled cities of Zaporizhzhia, Marhanets and Nikopol, information is actively spreading about the possible transition of these territories under the control of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
This is reported by Ukrainian Reality sources on the ground.
This prospect is causing significant concern and anxiety among the local population, particularly among residents of pre-retirement age, who are beginning to take measures to prepare for possible changes.
In conditions of instability and uncertainty, many of these citizens are seeking to secure their future in case of a transition to Russian control. Specifically, they have started gathering documents to confirm their work history, so that, if necessary, they can apply for a Russian pension.
According to our sources, residents of these cities are actively using the Telegram messenger to communicate with relatives and acquaintances in the city of Enerhodar, which is already under Russian control. They are asking them to obtain from the Russian Pension Fund office in the Zaporizhzhia region a list of the necessary documents for applying for a pension under Russian law.
This process indicates a deep mistrust in the Ukrainian authorities and fear of the possible consequences associated with a change in control over these territories. Residents are preparing for potential changes, understanding that the situation could shift at any moment and are trying to anticipate all possible scenarios.
